About the Role
In this challenging position, you will be responsible for leading teams to maintain high equipment standards, identifying new ways to improve processes, and implementing upgrades to further enhance performance. Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate and promote best practices for safe equipment operation and monitor team adherence to correct procedures.
* Monitor equipment performance through regular visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks, scheduling additional servicing as needed.
* Supervise technicians on shift, providing guidance and support to aid their development and serving as the primary point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
* Solve equipment-related issues to minimize downtime, allowing operations to process packages efficiently.
* Contribute to finding ways to continuously improve systems and standardize processes across the Brazil network.
A Day in the Life:
As a Senior RME Technician, your day will involve leading teams to ensure they have the necessary equipment and that it operates correctly. This includes monitoring processes to guarantee compliance with regulations and policies, as well as overseeing preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
With every shift, you will analyze processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and productivity. You will then implement these changes across various functions within the BR-wide organization. Additionally, you will use tools like Scada to monitor process performance and collaborate closely with your line manager to manage administrative tasks.
This role is based at one of our operational sites, requiring flexible working arrangements, including potential weekends and night shifts. As you grow within this exciting area of Amazon, you will be well-positioned for progression into more senior roles.
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you will need:
* Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
* A high school diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
* Familiarity with automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, National Electrical Code (NEC), work order management.
* Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
* Background in vendor management.
* Knowledge of robotic maintenance.
