Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Bids Senior Specialist to join our regional team in Brazil. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end bid process, from preparation and submission to contract award, while ensuring compliance with both local and international standards. As part of the business development team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients to drive successful proposals and secure new business opportunities across the LATAM region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bid Management: Lead and coordinate the preparation, submission, and follow-up of bids for various defense, security, and technology projects across the LATAM region.
• Proposal Development: Oversee the development of high-quality, compliant proposals that align with EDGE's strategic goals and client requirements.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (sales, legal, finance, technical) to gather necessary information and ensure all aspects of the bid are accurately represented.
• Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their needs and specifications, tailoring proposals to meet their objectives while positioning EDGE as a leading solution provider.
• Market Analysis: Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and market trends to identify new bidding opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all bids adhere to EDGE’s internal policies, legal requirements, and client specifications. Manage any associated risks throughout the bidding process.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of all bid documentation, including proposals, communications, and post-submission follow-ups.
• Team Collaboration: Lead and mentor junior bid team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in bid preparation processes.
• Post-Award Activities: Support post-award contract negotiations, clarifications, and project handover.
Education & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, International Relations, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in bid management or project management (e.g., APMP, PMP) are a plus.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is a must.
Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in bid management, proposal development, or business development within the defense, security, or technology sectors.
• Proven track record of managing large, complex bids and proposals in the LATAM region.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, tender requirements, and contractual frameworks.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly in technical and legal aspects of bids.
