Zimpler is a Swedish next-generation fintech company offering secure account-to-account payments. Our story is one for the ages, more on that below. First, let’s cut right to the chase.
This is the job
In order for us to continue to move into new markets, which is a huge part of the strategy going forward for Zimpler, we need to have the right people on the ground. We are now looking for someone to help us break ground in LatAm, based out of Sao Paolo.
You will as a Bank Relationship Manager be the nurturer of the live relationships with the banks. You will ensure that they are satisfied with the relationship with Zimpler from a Compliance perspective, but also in a general view. They will not only buy what Zimpler does and our product but by extension the people that work and represent the brand. You will be a key player in the success of LatAm. You will report to the Head of Bank Relations but will have a lot of synergies with the Latam team in Sao Paolo. The rest of the Bank relations team (inc Head) is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
We are dependent on the banks in order to deliver an instant product in each respective market. The relationship between banks versus Fintech can be very challenging as it requires a lot of effort from the banks to fully understand our operation. It is the relationship manager's responsibility to ensure our partner banks feel comfortable with the Zimpler as a whole.
This is what you’ll do

- Participate in webinars/forums (industry branding)
- Research market and legal development in market space
- Build relationships (inc chit chat/lunches)
- Manage and align with internal stakeholders
This is what you’re good at
It is essential that you understand the complexity it brings for the banks to work with fintech and to manage the relationship with Zimpler and the challenge of maintaining a healthy relationship. You thrive on establishing new relationships and don't shy away from an uphill battle. Resilience is key.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills (external and internal)
- Have worked with the bank compliance process for fintech
- Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus
- The role requires 50% travel in Latam markets
- High-level bank cash management experience
- High-level understanding of the Fintech industry (Open banking merit especially qualifying)
You’re intrigued. Fantastic. This is how we’re hoping to reel you in further
Zimpler is in an extremely expansive phase where priorities change, processes are new and the pace is very high. We have quite recently opened our first office in LatAm and you will be of the first employees and an essential part of building Zimpler LatAm and a direct contributor to its success. Working in a start-up within the scale-up requires the ability to take keep on keeping on, which we hope is the type of next challenge you are looking for.
