About the Role.
Grade Level (for internal use): 12.
As the Associate Director - Relationship Manager, you will join a diverse, inclusive, and professional Market Outreach team responsible for growing and maintaining relationships with the world’s largest and most influential asset managers, asset owners, and market influencers at S&P Global Ratings.
We are a global team of 26 individuals and an integral part of S&P Global Ratings with a strong market presence.
At our core, we exist to build long-term, strategic relationships with senior buy-side investors.
The role can be based in either Sao Paulo or Mexico City and can be, in part, undertaken remotely through flexible working with a requirement to be based within the office twice a week.
The role will report to the head of Latin America Market Outreach.
Your Impact.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with global Market Outreach, Analytical and Commercial colleagues, as well as other stakeholders.
You will focus on two principal areas of market engagement and interaction:
(1) global scale ratings through regular interaction with key buy-side fixed-income investors (asset managers and insurance companies) as well as other key market influencers; and (2) the development and execution of a plan for National Scale Ratings (NSRs) which provide a rank ordering of credit risk within a country.
The NSR Plan will be consistent with the overall Market Outreach Plan and priorities but will focus on three specific pillars germane to NSRs: Mexico, Pension funds Brazil, and traditional investors and intermediaries with a more acute focus on the retail market for the entire region.
Working with the regional banks and merchant banking firms who may be at the nexus of local issuers and investors (as examples, Banco Bradesco, Banco Pactual, or Banco Itau).
A key KPI will be to share market insights gained from investor, influencer, and other market participant interactions with both the analytical and commercial teams within the compliance guidelines.
