**ROLE DEFINITION**
Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for supporting DuPont Business Units globally with the procurement and performance of high quality, timely, and cost-effective Air & Express services for the compliant and safe international shipment of goods, samples and documents. Works with procurement team, Business Units, Logistics Optimization Managers, Trade Compliance leads and Business Functions to determine appropriate sourcing strategies and recommend qualified Suppliers (Air forwarders and small parcel, and 3rd Party Logistics Providers). This position is responsible for managing the supplier relationship and oversee overall supplier performance. Works with DuPont Business Units in logistics optimization, new supply chain projects, implementation of Logistics IT projects, etc. Ensures suppliers comply with government regulatory requirements (local and International), DuPont safety standards, and highest ethical standards. Works with team to develop and execute strategies to ensure maximum leverage of buy.
**Your key responsibilities will be**:
- Develop a working knowledge of Airfreight and express/ small parcel shipments internationally to ensure Global Logistics goals and service objectives are achieved. It requires a working knowledge of supply chain operations and more specifically the process flow, trade compliance, and international logistics services. Engage global suppliers to foster strategic level partnerships. The position must ensure compliant, safe handling, shipping, and storage of DuPont product per the scope of work.
- Support the ongoing relationship between DuPont Business Units and Airfreight forwarders in accordance with the Modal Strategy. You will collaborate with appropriate Business Unit's Logistics personnel to define current and future Airfreight needs along with working with AFF’s to manage the day-to-day activities relative to operations. You will be involved in resolving daily operational issues or acting as escalation point to ensure final resolution.- You will work on establishing new ways to reduce and/or eliminate costs to streamline and optimize the supply chain. You will be focused on extracting maximum value out of negotiated deals with logistics providers by monitoring KPIs and conducting in-depth evaluations of suppliers that ensures achieving the Air & Express objectives and strategies. You will work diligently to meet or surpass all unit goals and requirements by achieving an optimal balance of suppliers to support different business units’ requirements in terms of equipment, available capacity, reliability, and geographic coverage.
- You will monitor and analyze the quality and compliance metrics of the logistics services providers, documents the records, and you will make the updated results available to the stakeholders (procurement team, Customs and Trade Compliance team, internal customers and leadership) via standard reports to be discussed during scheduled performance reviews.
- You will coordinate and review the investigations for non-conformities, including quality and response time. You will put corrective/preventive actions in place. You will improve documents and publish existing procedures and processes.
