Amazon Brazil is seeking a dynamic vendor manager to play a crucial role within the International Imports team. The selected candidate will be responsible for adding selection, analyzing business data, driving vendor onboarding, negotiating terms, and handling promotions.
The ideal candidate will work with Brazilian and global vendors to drive all aspects of terms improvements, including analysis and projections, as well as direct negotiations with decision makers.
In addition, the vendor manager will increase product category sales by driving store marketing promotions, negotiating partners to improve selection, and reacting to industry-related economic trends.
Key Responsibilities
* CUSTOMERS: The Retail Manager holds category-specific knowledge about customers and their needs, emerging product trends, market segment evolution, and new business opportunities.
* VENDORS: The RM owns the ultimate relationship with top vendors that drive the vast majority of sales. They are responsible for auditing and escalating performance, improving overall terms and cost structures through negotiation, and developing long-term partnerships with new and existing vendors.
* CENTRAL AND FUNCTIONAL TEAMS: The Retail Manager represents customer and business needs in interaction with central teams, projects, and initiatives. They drive central teams for the evolution of customer-facing and internal systems to improve the customer experience from the category perspective.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Team management experience
* Account management, project or program management, or buying experience
* Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management
* Master's degree
* Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
* Experience using data to influence business decisions
* Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
* Experience with business analysis and P&L management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements
* Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
