POSITION: Strawberry Production Supervisor
REPORTS TO: District Manager
Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00
SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising production line crews and distribution personnel to support company policies and operating procedures. To be successful, this position must assure continuous improvement and consistently achieve operation effectiveness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Experienced in Safety, Quality, and Compliance Management.

3. Ensures a clean and safe working environment for all.
4. Must display emotional control in time-sensitive situations and be able to multi-task.
5. Must drive team success, be approachable, and have a coachable demeanor.
6. Able to lead and communicate at a high level to Customer Support Staff, Production employees, and Customers.
7. Technologically and functionally advanced skills, including MS Office Suite, Software systems, Apps, Portals, writing SOPs, and Navigation.
8. General office duties, including scanning/faxing, filing, and answering phones.
9. Assists safety, environmental, incident investigation, and training activities as well as onboarding new hires in cooperation with the Safety Manager and Human Resources Department.
10. Monitor inventory and warehouse items. Provide input to management regarding availability of stock, slow-moving, and fast-moving items, etc.
11. Keep Site Manager informed regarding problems or situations that may affect the overall production operation of the managed locations and overall business.
12. Assist in driving investigation of customer improvement opportunities (CIOs) to provide timely follow-up and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
13. Monitor departmental production and support overtime, and monitor staffing requirements consistent with demand.
14. Work collaboratively with scheduling, warehousing, engineering, and quality to support and improve productivity and quality reliability through proactive production goals and standards.
15. Ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities effectively and flexibly to meet company needs.
16. Critical Thinking, Forensic Troubleshooting, Pattern recognition, Trend Identification, and Problem Solving skills.
17. Ability to understand and interpret budget statements.
18. Leads all manufacturing operations, shipping/receiving, and production employees.
19. Works closely with Site Management, production team(s), maintenance, and fellow site supervisors at all locations as a team collectively.
20. Coordinates production in accordance with policies, principles, procedures, and established goals while effectively managing and monitoring production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
21. Responsible for maintaining good inventory accuracy for ordering and processes while following company policies and procedures, as well as maintaining predetermined max/min levels, including performing accurate daily inventory counts.
22. Responsible for meeting production goals, making necessary adjustments during production shifts to maximize production while safely limiting downtime and producing quality material.
23. Attend and participate in daily production meetings, working with management, office staff, kiosk, etc. to effectively produce product and meet production/shipping goals.
24. Remains in constant communication with site manager and site mechanic(s).
25. Develops and implements plans for efficient use of materials, machines, Pratt employees, and temporary associates.
26. Responsible for producing and shipping high-quality products while monitoring quality control to minimize waste, increase efficiency, and minimize customer complaints.
27. Works closely with management and production team to monitor and maintain production costs, product quality, and modifies production to maintain and enhance profitability.
28. Trains all production employees to comply with operational standards, company policies, procedures, safety, and quality.
29. Supports Site Manager with preparation of production, human resources, and labor/costs records.
30. Responsible for meeting site budget goals per cost category.
31. Maintains positive working relationships with other departments (Salinas Mfg Plant, other satellite facilities, Shipping, Sales, Accounting, Customer Service, Safety, Human Resources, maintenance, etc.).
32. Responsible for keeping an accurate daily attendance report, including managing overtime, lunches, and breaks accordingly.
33. Assist and support the forklift operators, maintenance, kiosk, and other job duties as needed.
34. Comply with company policies and procedures.
35. Have the ability to travel between local region sites as well as other satellite facilities and Salinas manufacturing plant.
36. Additional duties as assigned by management.
