ABM College is currently looking for a highly experienced, dynamic, and highly creative Software Development Instructor who has a passion for sharing their expertise and experiences to facilitate the delivery of quality education for the Software Development Diploma of the college.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Create dynamic classroom learning experiences using various teaching strategies to facilitate adult learners in achieving learning objectives in accordance with the program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
2. Ensure students are motivated to learn and to maximize their potential.
3. Develop different classroom strategies to ensure knowledge and skills acquisition and retention.
4. Evaluate students’ performance through different academic assessments.
5. Prepare academic reports (grading sheet, attendance, academic exercises, and assessments).
6. Prepare and update course syllabus/outline and content if needed.
7. Create lesson plans and course schedules.
8. Actively participate in developing and updating curriculum, manuals, and guides as requested by the Coordinator and Academic Lead.
Education and Skills Requirements:
1. A degree, diploma, certificate, or a professional designation in Software Development and related fields.
2. A minimum of 3 years of work-related experience.
3. A minimum of 1 year of instructional experience or hold a training certificate in adult education.
4. Deep understanding of network and computer security.
5. Proficient in any other technical skills necessary to train the students to become successful Software Development Specialists.
6. Proficient in the technical and theory translation of the course.
7. Results-driven, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
8. Strong organizational, research, and accuracy skills.
9. Sharp listening skills and critical thinking.
10. Exceptional verbal and written communications.
11. Must have sensitivity and ability to successfully interact with diverse populations.
12. Committed to quality and a thorough approach to the work.
Job Type:
Part-time.
Schedule:
1. 4 hour shift
2. Evening shift
3. Monday to Friday
