Projects could range from relatively short follow up initiatives stemming from meetings to multi-layered and relatively long live projects involving operational planning and execution.Serve as an ambassador for the Vice President’s office.The Executive Secretary will manage communications from other areas of the department as well as outside the department.Prepare letters, a portion or all of which may be composed by the Executive Secretary.Develop and prepare presentations to the Board of Trustees and internal and external audiences.Prepare the VP for meetings including preparing agenda and other related materials and taking minutes as requested.Serve as a gatekeeper for the office of the vice president by screening calls and visitors (internal and external), prioritizing urgent matters and directing inquiries appropriately.Understand the university organization and all of the members of the senior leadership team to be able to support the VP.Maintain the Vice President's calendar, including scheduling, rescheduling and prioritizing as needed.Manage communications between prospects, gift officers, and the president’s office with regard to VP travel and scheduling.Assist in communication and scheduling of three annual meetings of the committee.Qualifications:High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Associates Degree preferred.Three to five years of related work experience.Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management tools.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Lehigh University offers a dynamic and inclusive work environment that values diversity, fosters personal and professional growth, and provides competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.
