As our
ProcurementCategory Manager III
you will be responsible for all aspects of their assigned categories which include contact management, spend management, procurement leverage, strategic procurement, business processes, supplier development, supplier relations, and development of sustainable procurement partnerships.
The category manager will be responsible for generating savings year after year, while driving continuous improvement and compliance with all sourcing practices and policies.
In order to meet these objectives, the successful candidate will develop Best-in-Class supplier/category strategies (SRM) focused on reducing the company's total cost of ownership and improving the supplier's capabilities to ensure Ultimate Profitability and supplier innovation.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for Brazil sugar contracts, maintaining contract balances, alignment on financials, and back up for global sugar hedging process.
Develop procurement management strategies that ensure procurement progress to effectively reap maximum value in line with the overall procurement strategy.
Generate structural savings to deliver improved YOY bottom line revenue.
Develop a deep understanding of the impact of assigned categories of price volatility on business performance.
Promote "change management" processes with internal customers.
Integrate key supplier partners into programs focused on service, supply cost reduction, and logistics operations.
Continuous improvement to meet company and department goals, while striving for Best in Class status.
Communicate efficiently with critical and timely management information.
Report problems or risks related to the Food Safety Management System to designated persons whenever necessary.
Report situations associated with health and safety conditions, whether they are unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses or aspects related to the environment to the designated responsible parties whenever necessary.
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and improvement of quality, environment, food safety and occupational health and safety management systems, meeting the requirements of policies and procedures, controlling operational and administrative processes with a focus on the customer, adequately managing environmental aspects and occupational hazards related to its activities, suggesting and proposing improvement actions to achieve the intended results.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in economics, food industry, business, or related disciplines.
Knowledge of the Brazilian sugar market.
Experience in the purchasing/supply chain function in the consumer packaged goods or food industry.
Maintain a high level of organization, commitment to continuity and motivation.
Have basic industry, technology and functional knowledge.
A team player with strong negotiation.
Ability to understand, communicate, present and execute procurement strategies.
Demonstrates ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment where responsibilities are distributed throughout the organization.
Ability to successfully participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of contract management and resolution procedures.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
