Purpose of the Position
Responsible for conducting demands related to environmental legal requirements, preparing internal and external technical reports, ensuring environmental licenses and authorizations, planning, operationalizing and analyzing performance, coordinating environmental consultancies, managing operational expenses, and conducting ASP planning as per global demand.
What We Are Looking For
Graduation in engineering, preferably environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related areas;
1 to 2 years of experience in the role;
Intermediate English.
Will be used on a daily basis;
Knowledge of Office Suite, Power BI;
Knowledge of environmental legislation, safety legislation;
Analytical profile, questioning, organized, and with planning skills.
Your Daily Activities
Environmental Management:
Support areas through training, inspections, audits, evaluations, meetings, coaching, and feedback, in the proper implementation of JTI's corporate, global, and local environmental programs, processes, and standards, aiming for a suitable work environment that promotes control of environmental aspects and impacts, prevention of environmental incidents, environmental conservation, and sustainability of the business.
Legal Requirements and Other Environmental Requirements:
Keep the legal environmental service system (Sisleg) updated, identify and record non-conformities, as well as their adjustment plans, executing, supporting, and controlling the responsible areas for implementation and maintenance of adjustment actions.
Environmental Indicators:
Keep environmental indicators updated on global and local platforms, providing relevant information for the leadership team to evaluate the effectiveness of the environmental management system.
Propose corrective actions and continuous improvement, execute them and support their implementation in the areas.
Other Business Initiatives:
Manage environmental consultancy contracts for compliance with legal and environmental requirements, performing alignments and controls of demands.
Conduct EHS assessments in the change management process - MoC and Innovate Program.
Assist in updating EHS documents, especially developing and maintaining updated procedures for assessing environmental aspects and impacts and life cycle perspective, as well as maintaining the IMS and ISO management system concerning EHS.
Be the focal point for the environment in certification audits and self-assessments.
Support the Engineering area with your environmental expertise in managing companies operating the ETE and waste center, as well as in managing ISO 50K.
Financial Management:
Conduct financial management of the EHS area by controlling expenses related to environmental items, seeking improvements and optimization of resources, and conducting periodic reviews aligned with financial exercise objectives and goals (ASP and LE).
EHS and ESG - Safety and Sustainability:
Perform activities according to risk analysis and assessment of environmental aspects and impacts, respecting the indicated control items, in addition to reporting new risks and waste and proposing new solutions.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and collective protection equipment (CPE), fill out work permits for high-risk activities, comply with safety standards and golden rules.
Understand the health and safety aspects of your work and potential risks, know and maintain the necessary control measures to keep your workplace healthy and safe, following the safety procedures defined by the company and encouraging colleagues to do the same.
Know JTI's ESG strategy and contribute to achieving the company's sustainability objectives.

Integrated Management System: perform activities according to existing standard procedures, documenting control items and checklists in compliance with the integrated management system.
