Manages financial and accounting personnel in the delivery of accounting and tax data, financial information and analysis and business financial support/ analysis and consulting to management decision-makers.
Directs the development, implementation and administration of financial planning, reporting and transaction processing systems and procedures.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Directs and oversees financial statutory and tax compliance for Brazil and Mexico, covering external audits, regulatory filings, tax filings and any other local financial compliance related activities.
Oversees country-related financial events and operations such as M&A transactions or pension plans.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes, risk exposures, ethics and values, compliance with laws, regulations and contracts, and appropriate communication of risk and control information.
- Provides financial services, analysis, reporting and business support to company management and/or government regulatory authorities.
- Support all finance areas for treasury, tax, reporting and accounting practices, to keep business compliant with local laws and policies.
- Oversees the collection, recording, consolidation, reconciliation, analysis, reporting and presentation of accounting, tax and financial information used by management for planning and control.
- Manages employees responsible for design/ implementation of programs/ processes.
- Directs, manages resources and participates in implementing tactical business plans and projects.
- Develops, implements solutions to department issues.

**Job Qualifications**:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent plus relevant work experience
- Expertise in local taxes and regulations for Brazil and Mexico
- Knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements, background in USGAAP reporting is a plus
- Requires in-depth knowledge and experience and ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Advanced English language skills and proficiency in Spanish
