Job Summary
Do you have a passion for bringing a product to life? Can you take a Product Roadmap and create user stories? Most Product Managers function as the Product Owner meaning you are dedicated to a Scrum team and you are the liaison between the Principle Product Manager’s roadmap vision and the development team. You are responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the team. How you do this is up to you and your Scrum team. At Paycor, we work in Agile teams so it’s important that you like to move fast and use logic and strategy to distill complex problems into simple user stories. Your primary responsibility is managing the product backlog. In this role you must be able to manage complexities of detailed stories with market trade-offs to build the best product possible. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage the product backlog to roadmap vision and deliver the highest value. Monitor Work Orders, Bugs & Known Issues to identify trends and prioritize fixes for assigned product.
* Identify and track key KPIs that measure the value of your product.
* Translate epics to user stories.
* Write measurable acceptance criteria and accept or reject work based upon it.
* Create mock-ups and partner with UX on design.
* Be the subject matter expert for assigned products, resolving issues and creating documentation as needed (write user stories/requirements, user guides, release communication, technical and sales specs)
* Work with clients to understand needs and build the relationship with Paycor.
* Lead problem & solution discovery efforts, usability sessions and integrate user feedback. Be the voice of the user to the team.
* Provide input into the core positioning and messaging for their assigned product and the development of training, sales tools and collateral materials.
* Customize communication for stakeholders with varying roles and degrees of initiative involvement.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* Four-year degree in business, software development or a related field
* 1-2 years of experience in product management for a software company OR at least 2 years of Paycor experience and a demonstrated interest in and aptitude for software products
* Working knowledge of bringing a product to market, and a passion for providing a seamless product experience to customers
* A track record of success in the design and execution of cross functional projects
* Proven ability to influence at all levels of the organization
* Experience in an Agile environment
* Experience in a SaaS environment preferred
* Payroll and HRIS experience preferred
* Strong technology background and proven aptitude for staying current with latest developments in technology and payroll/HR solutions
* Familiarity with information security domains such as fraud detection and identity verification are a plus.
* Ability to travel occasionally

We also offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, and education. In addition to base pay, Paycor Associates are eligible for either a performance-based annual bonus or commission, depending on their position.
