Job Overview:
Operate radio equipment to communicate with ships in the field as required during operations including mobilization, infield operation and demobilization. Monitor emergency frequencies in order to detect distress calls and respond/act as required. Provide secretarial assistance to Client representative and Vessel Master. Collect inputs from all parties and prepare Daily Reports for Client Rep's approval and signature. Participate in daily morning meetings, log minutes and send MOM to distribution list. Liaise with personnel logistics coordinator on the beach to organize crew changes. Time sheet management. Prepare and affix on notice board the crew change lists. Liaise with materials logistics coordinator on the beach to organize material and supplies transportation. Participate in safety events and drills onboard.

Essential Qualifications and Education:
* Experience working as Radio Operator in Brazil on offshore activities
* Preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years as Radio Operator
* Fluent written and spoken English / Portuguese
* Computer literate, fully conversant with word processing, spreadsheet and email applications
* Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness
* Radio operator licenses
* Qualified in radio operations / air traffic or STCW Reg. AIV/2

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Maintains VHF and Airband radio watch
* Assists main Administrator onboard
* Completes transmission of manifests for helicopter and supply vessel operations
* Assists Admin Officer / Master / OCM / Superintendent with daily record keeping and administration duties
* Assists with filing, copying, printing documents etc. as directed by the Master or OCM / Superintendent
* To be familiar with all Company procedures, including the Safety Management System, applicable to his duties
* Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established safety standards and work practices
* Taking part in emergency and occupational onboard training such as, the use of self-contained breathing apparatus, firefighting, man overboard exercises, lifeboat launching, security drills and/or other training as applicable for the function
* Wearing, inspecting and caring for required personal protective equipment
* Inform through e-mail DPO, OCM, Lay engineer, Storekeeper and client representative the expected time of arrival of supply boat to operate with the vessel with at least 6 hours in advance
* Issue a list of embark and disembark passengers the day before the crew change flight
* Perform emergency procedures, emergency care or security for any eventuality’s flights
* Maintain administrative controls related to lodging, flights, staff newsletters
* Prepare the daily operations reports for the client
* Operate the various communications devices available to use (SSB and VHF radios, fax, electronic mail)
