Business & Project Controller

- Our Controller Team in South America are looking for a controller analyst._
As a business controller, you are contributing to the business line reporting process in timely and quality manner.
Tasks may also include various financial data compilation and analysis work, as well as involvement in reporting development actions.
Also, you will act as business controlling partner for our operations function.
**Job Description**:
- Provide direction to ensure that the development and analysis of the Business financial information is accurate, timely & relevant to the needs of the Business Line and Business Unit.
Work actively with the Areas, BU & Technology Unit ("TU") leaders to achieve results and provide the needed support.
- Pro-actively identify and implement necessary corrective actions related to the Business operations with age to cost base issues and overall profitability
- Financial responsibility of Business Line and support to other business units, including management reporting, budgeting and estimation
- Business partnering - providing accounting and financial system support to other departments and preparation of needed reports to support business management
- Responsible for maintaining complete and accurate project records
- Monthly JV's on calculations and analysis of costs to complete projects, as well as calculate monthly revenue recognition using POC method
- Executing high quality of financial analysis and acting as a financial partner to the heads of business
- Capacity cost follow up for each cost center
- KPI/Scorecard reporting based on metrics determined by management
- Preparation of hourly rate calculation and absorption follow-up and rout causes to the impacts
- Overhead, warranty, estimated costs to come, obsolescence & inventory analysis and reconciliation
- Net Working Capital analysis, management, reconciliation and adjustments as needed
- Support business transformation programs, such as the ERP implementation
- Ensure Valmet transfer pricing guidelines are followed and applied consistently
- Participation in corporate initiatives to support business and statutory requirements including the development & maintenance
- Provides leadership and direction to the organization reporting in matrix.
**Requirements**:
- Master of Science degree in Accounting, Administration or Economics is required with sound cost accounting
- A minimum of 5 years of Finance and prior experience in a similar role
- Specific knowledge in project management, including Revenue Recognition based on IFRS15, manufacturing/project cost accounting
- Accountability for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities.- Good team working and as well as influencing skills- Strong knowledge of, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and experience with financial management systems such as LN/Baan, HFM and DW, COGNOS, as a plus
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal in Portuguese and English, as well as ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents in English
- Spanish is a plus
- Endurance for tight schedules and pressure
- Understanding of business dynamics of international sales and services
- Detailed planning and execution of plans.
- To be successful in this position requires strong insights in finance and business control
- Leadership skills with determinate approach and the ability to motivate others in the team
