We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safety Manager to join our team. As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure a secure work environment for all employees and visitors.
Job Description
Main Duties:
* Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and international regulations.
* Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Lead and coordinate emergency response activities, including drills and training exercises.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
* Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels of the organization.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, making data-driven improvements as needed.
* Collaborate with department heads and management to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
* Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.
* Manage the budget for safety-related equipment, training, and programs.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters with external agencies and stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety management or supervisory role.
* In-depth knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to train and educate others.
* Proficiency in Windows-based programs and safety management software.
* Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
* Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining a culture of safety.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
