This position is responsible for coordinating and optimizing import flows from Asia, the Americas, and Europe to LATAM for direct trading or stock-based transactions.
Develop efficient processes considering regulatory and tax constraints.Main Tasks:Trading Flows: Monitor trading orders placed by customer service, ensuring end-to-end management until delivery.
Act as the main point of contact between the shipping site, forwarders, and customer service.Buy-Sell Flows: Track orders and manage stock levels at the storage platform.
Define replenishment strategies, organize physical restocking, and place purchase orders based on stock monitoring or forecasted demand.
Monitor dormant or near-expiry stock.Flow Analysis & Optimization: Define delivery strategies to optimize costs and lead times based on the frequency and recurrence of future shipping flows after customs clearance.Claims & Returns Management: Handle potential returns or complaints related to transport damages upon arrival at the unloading port.Communication & Visibility: Ensure alignment with stakeholders and provide updates on ongoing processes.Implementation of New Trading Flows: Support the development and implementation of new trade flows.Supplier Selection: Occasionally contribute to drafting specifications for selecting logistics providers related to these flows.Detailed Monitoring of Import Orders:Analyze and challenge short-term forecasts and firm orders in collaboration with the D/S team.Place orders with production sites while ensuring compliance with SLTs (Service Level Targets).Before shipment: Maintain regular contact with the shipping site to track manufacturing and shipping deadlines, ensuring announced deadlines are met and prioritizing urgent needs.After shipment: Monitor maritime transit, update relevant parties on progress and ETAs (storage platform or customer service, depending on the flow), and verify compliance of import documents (invoice, Bill of Lading, Packing List), ensuring correct values, customs nomenclature, agreed Incoterms, and other key details.Requirements:Bachelor degree in international trade, supply chain or equivalent;International Trade skills: Import and export documentation managementIncoterms; Transport, forwarders, and customs representatives; Import and export customsLogistics skills: Stock management (IT) and supply.About Elkem SiliconesElkem Silicones is more than 3,100 employees dedicated to providing silicone solutions with a personal touch focused to deliver your potential.
