EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE)
is Schneider's platform for Universal Automation ( https://universalautomation.org/ ), based on IEC 61499 Standard.
This role is responsible for supporting country sales teams to win more business on EAE and support customers through their entire project development cycle using EAE:
Demonstrate how EAE features and functionality can help customers with their applications and projects; Animate workshops to promote EAE features and functions, ensuring customers understand how to design, organize, and execute code on EAE; Implement and test performance of customers' architectures to demonstrate performance and reduce risks, including on-site support; Develop key libraries elements (CATs) to support customer projects and ensure their satisfaction; Support customer project execution and guide customers through the implementation phase; Ensure a consistent feedback loop with the global EAE development team as the voice of the customer; Support, develop, and train System Integrators in the region to be execution partners on EAE.
The Ideal Candidate: Self-motivated and driven with a "must win" mindset and a desire to be successful. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a matrix organization is essential. Must be able to influence and motivate individuals to achieve shared KPIs through a collaborative approach. Must be an early adopter with a sense of technical intensity to drive sales growth. While this is a technical role, the candidate must have commercial acumen and understand the significant role technical teams play in the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities: Work with the commercial teams on the achievement of EAE goals (orders, volume, profile of projects and customers); Manage customer satisfaction through all phases of the project; Report KPIs to the global team (data, dashboard, risks, enhancements, bugs). Build and maintain a demo area in your country/region (HW and SW); Personalize UVP/storytelling to customer use-cases; Handle Q&A and provide examples and references relative to applications.
Workshops
Host application-specific training; Apply design guidelines to ensure projects are executed correctly; Define code structure, objects, and CATs; Assess challenges and work with the Incubator team to address them.
System Architectures
Draw, implement, and test EAE architecture relative to customers' applications; Present outcomes to customers to get their adoption by reducing risks.
Develop Specific CATs
Develop HW CATs in country/region; Manage library development, following global guidelines; Verify the solutions' performance; Validate the library as per customer use case/application.
Project Execution and Support
Support the customer and/or System Integrator on the successful execution of any EAE project; Ensure customer satisfaction on projects, including commercial relationships.
Feedback and Documentation
Document all processes and changes made on site and during customer engagement; Create use cases and success stories from every project; Share knowledge and best practices.
Education, Experience, and Skills: Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, IT programming, or Code development; Embedded Software Engineer background, ideally with strong IT focus;
Be well versed in IIOT and the convergence between IT and OT; Object-oriented Programming, Windows and Linux development environment, Docker/Kubernetes/Swarm, Virtualization, Event-driven methodology, C# programming for HMI integration, Cybersecurity (SDL2, IEC62443); Networking experience in LAN, WAN, VLAN, Managed Switch, Routers, Communication protocols TCP/IP based Modbus, EthernetIP, Profinet, HTTPS, MQTT; Experience in programming languages: C/C++, Python, JavaScript.
OT knowledge is important but can be learnt at Schneider; Essential to apply code development and design system/solution architecture for industrial applications; Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation solution development and programming.
