The role requires expertise in MQ administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Key Responsibilities:Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade MQ queue managers and related software.Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor MQ queues and channels to ensure high availability and performance. Perform regular health checks and apply necessary patches and updates.Troubleshooting: Provide support for incidents related to MQ Series, including root cause analysis and resolution. Collaborate with other teams to resolve network, storage, and server issues.Documentation: Maintain and develop operational documentation, including configuration settings, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize MQ performance, ensuring efficient message processing and minimal downtime.Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to staff on MQ-related matters. Assist in evaluating new MQ software and features for development and production environments.Collaboration: Work closely with development, networking, and storage teams to implement MQ solutions and ensure integration with other systems.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience: Solid experience in MQ administration and support.Skills: Proficiency in IBM MQ, WebSphere Message Broker, Java, and SpringBoot.
