As a Tech Lead NodeJS engineer, you need to have a strong background in Node.js and React to drive the development of the front-end ecosystem for a global online sports betting platform. This role involves close collaboration with product owners to shape the future of our platform. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a passion for learning, possesses excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and pays meticulous attention to detail.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:
You will join our engineering team and be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team. You will help with the following:
* Collaborate with key business stakeholders to identify and solve critical problems.
* Design and implement innovative features and solutions to enhance our platform.
* Lead and mentor a cross-functional, remote development team.
* Analyse existing programs to diagnose performance issues and troubleshoot effectively.
* Break down system requirements into actionable tasks and prioritise them efficiently.
* Work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
* Communicate effectively with non-technical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
* Write and improve documentation for company products and tools.
* Maintain the products and assist in resolving production incidents.
* Support customer service by addressing inquiries and providing solutions.
* Be available for on-call support as needed to ensure system reliability.
* Revamping the product to improve user experience significantly.
* Integrating with next-generation payment backend systems.
* Adding new payment methods and providers, expediting integration through automation and configuration enhancements.
* Developing self-service tools for users to complete transactions and resolve issues independently.
* Providing tools for Customer Support to handle transaction follow-ups efficiently.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field
* Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
* Team player with a collaborative mindset.
* Proactive problem-solving attitude with exceptional troubleshooting skills.
* Project management experience and familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
* Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
AWESOME BUT NOT REQUIRED:
* Varnish or HTTP accelerators, in general
* Experience with Redis.
* Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
