The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Engineering Manager in coordinating and providing any engineering support within the organization such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or Integrated Project Management (IPM).
Support can be sustaining in nature like InTouch helpdesk tickets, or of a development nature like new standards, new InTouch contents or projects.Roles and Responsibilities:
Effectively assist the Engineering Manager in a way that provides quality, cost effective and efficient support to the field when requested.Day to day engineering support (helpdesk tickets), field operations, and/or Integrated Project Management (IPM), marketing support for engineering or technical issues involving rigs assessment, equipment or systems design review, calculations, upgrades.Rig upgrades, major repairs, refurbishment and shipyard or construction site projects.Preparation or review of work scopes, specifications, budgets, schedules and contracts including management of the Roving PM resources needed for inspections, assessments, audits, preparation or execution and support of major maintenance operations.Studies and follow up with manufacturers of new drilling systems or equipment.Review and revision of existing and preparation of new standards, best practices, procedures for Rig Equipment Systems in liaison with the Field Support Equipment, Maintenance, QHSE groups.Maintenance and development of InTouch, promoting paperless archiving and providing better information access (technical library including standards, procedures, CAD drawings, MOM, certification, projects, repairs history files, etc.).
Progressive transfer of all the hard copies archiving system into an electronic format.Follow up and/or development of new concepts, systems that will improve QHSE and performance ofOperations.Participation in hardware and QHSE-MS audits, to confirm compliance with OFS and SDS policies, standards and procedures, condition assessment, amendment or issuance of standards, procedures as required, review of rig CAD as built drawings set and issuance of Corrective Actions Plans.Audit of engineering firms, construction or reparation sites or yard within our geographical areas of work, maintaining a list of approved contractors in the field of work of the technical group, insuring the availability of resources as they may be required, to provide an efficient support.Experienced in:
Keep teamwork up to date with Project Status, necessary preparation activities, field operation schedules and Commissioning/Startups/Stopdowns.Fulfill the contract requirementsMonitor the implementation and maintenance of the Project, seeking continuous improvements using lessons learned and best practices.Forecast and plan project activitiesManage scope changesMonitor the execution of tasksRecommend changes for improvement and reports on all matters that affect company policies and proceduresMinimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Engineer3 to 5 years of experience as a project engineer, preferably in the Oil&Gas industriesKnowledge in PMBOKFluent in EnglishSoft Skills:
