Job Summary:
The Product Owner is responsible for overseeing projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring that the projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. The role requires managing and prioritizing the product backlog, representing the customer, and working closely with the development team to ensure successful product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Product Management: Manages, aligns, and communicates product backlog/roadmap/strategy, ensuring alignment of priorities and optimum use of resources based on value and importance.
* Business Requirements: Develops acceptance criteria to attend to business requirements, shielding the team from direct work requests and acting as a business representative to the team for clarification.
* Prioritization: Responsible for prioritizing items in the backlog, making hard calls on scope and content, and coordinating with other Product Owners to identify dependencies.
* Execution Planning: Works with the Scrum Master to adjust execution plans, priorities, and ensures that the business context, strategy, and objectives are understood by the portfolio team and stakeholders.
* Technical Enablers: Collaborates with the team to prioritize technical enablers and coordinates with other Product Owners to identify dependencies.
* Strategic Alignment: Validates alignment of work to strategic initiatives and investment levels.
Skill Requirements:
* Agile Methodology: Strong understanding of the agile methodology and safe framework.
* Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Prioritization: Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
* Product Management Principles: Knowledge of product management principles and practices.
* Leadership: Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide teams towards successful project outcomes.
* Language: Advanced English proficiency.
