GET TO KNOW OUR AREA:
Bayer's seed research and development site is located at Petrolina, in the interior of the State of Pernambuco, where we find climatic and environmental conditions and ideal resource infrastructure for the development of high quality seeds throughout the year. Petrolina Site is the largest Bayer Research Center in South America and one of the four largest in the world. Our Site plays an important strategic role in the development of new products within our region, directly impacting innovation in Brazil within the Corn and Soybean market. Our goal as a team is to deliver our best in the production of corn and soybean seeds, with a focus on results, efficiency and quality. YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:
* This position is deeply involved in all operations in terms of agronomics practices and equipment availability at the Site to keep excellence conditions for our nurseries and operations installations, ensuring safety in our operations, quality and efficiency in our deliveries for both crops (Operations Excellence) Corn and Soy;
* This position leads the teams that drive the strategy, planning and execution to successfully and efficiently deliver Brazil Corn and Soy best agronomic practices for the nurseries located at Seed Production Capability HUB. Manages and influences digital and high-tech agriculture practices, high touch field trials across the sites, and partners with different functions outside of Org to achieve desired outcomes;
* This position also leads teams to assure reliability on maintenance for equipment and facilities directly connected with operations.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?
Must have:
* BS with minimum and relevant experience in engineering (Agronomics, Mechanical or Electrical) or related field. At least 2 years of people leadership experience and 3 years of experience in high tech/high intensity agriculture and/or maintenance/facilities operations (preference for farms);
* VACC leadership skills (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst and Coach) – with a focus on team and people development;
* Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to achieve common goals;
* Strong decision-making, prioritization, problem solving and project management skills. Demonstrates flexibility in an agile work environment;
* Solid experience leading and influencing activities of cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships;
* Ability to lead and influence key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities to facilitate solutions;
* Demonstrated ability to use different approaches and coach/influence to solve problems with the team using proven techniques (quality and operational excellence tools – quality and lean);
* Strong safety, quality, and compliance focus and experience;
* Demonstrated ability to strategically balance competing interests to drive business results;
* Fluent Portuguese and Advanced English (Excellent verbal and written communication skills).

* Deep agriculture understanding and passion for emerging trends in agriculture;
* Passion for innovation and new technologies in general;
* Trained in LEAN, Six-sigma, Agile and/or Innovation tools.
