.POSITION SUMMARY:The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for generating mechanical system conveyor drawings for the procurement and fabrication for the D&I Engineering Design Department.
He will also assist with design and engineering of facility mechanical systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Generate mechanical system conveyor drawings.Support on structural analysis and structural mechanical design.Develop drawings that will be used for procurement and fabricationAssist with facilitation of the procurement.Regularly interact with engineering departments abroad and address any design issues.Coordinate with vendors, project teams, and fabrication facility to ensure procurement and fabrication are done according to customer specifications as well as vendor.
Maintain Roeslein's CAD library.Serve as a conveyor resource for any questions or issues from Roeslein Modular Fabrication.Ensure final product meets specifications before shipment.Become and serve as subject-matter expert on conveyance internally.Oversee development of plant and site general arrangement of process equipment and associated assets.Coordinate vendor provided conveyor systems with process equipment.Review vendor data for specification accuracy, code compliance, and completeness.Prepare material take-offs as needed.Potential to travel internationally 0-10% of the time.
