As our Project Manager you coordinate the CAPEX portfolio, assuring the execution of projects scope on time and cost with safety and quality. The location will be Campos dos Goytacazes, RJ and you report to the Asset Management Manager.
**Key position specific functions**:
- Manage project scope, schedule, finances and resources to meet predetermined Corbion business objectives.
- Documenting projects process and ensure deliverables are delivered on-time.
- Assess and mitigate blockers and potential risks.
- Plans and leads medium to large-sized capital projects/programs that include the integration of outside technical resources. Results oriented leader that can work with the team to deliver projects within the approved framework.
- Plan, control and monitor the activities inherent to the field execution, solving pending issues, correcting deficiencies, clarifying doubts and complementing information required by the works during their execution and, mainly, ensuring compliance with the concepts of the original project.
- Support multidisciplinary field engineering team, as well as the execution team (construction and electromechanical assembly).
- Anticipates changing resource requirements and results, and initiates appropriate responses in a way that optimizes overall project results.
- Makes effective presentations of technical material to non-technical people, both written and verbal.
- Drives use of the engineering discipline in such a way that it causes significant shifts in our project management processes.
- Works independently to coordinate own and others' activities while networking with key contacts outside of discipline. Manage project team members both internal to Corbion and external engineering resources.
- Have individual and shared responsibility for the safety of all personnel and the safe operation of the departments, equipment, and buildings under their authority.
- Ensure that all training, inspections, surveys and safety or corrective action items assigned to their departments are completed in a timely manner.
- Review and analyze proposed new processes for safety hazards. Participate in the Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP, and HACCP processes.
- Ensure that works are performed in accordance with planned engineering techniques by monitoring and controlling their proper execution in accordance with current technical standards and legislation.
- Ensure that works are carried out according to the planned budget through the preparation of monitoring and control worksheets for the measurements of the services performed, as well as the release of payments inherent to these services.
- Ensure that the works are executed according to the planned deadline by preparing, updating and analyzing physical progress schedules, as well as re-planning any deviations.

- Degree in engineering
- 10+ years experience in project management role
- Extensive problem solving skills
- Demonstrated management experience and strong leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
