Job Purpose
• Responsible for providing high-quality financial information to senior management, including the company's financial statements and analytical analyses under USGAAP and IFRS. Maintain a high-level control environment within the finance department, including SOX controls.
• Lead, set goals, create value, and provide knowledge to empower management and accounting employees to make decisions and fully understand the risks and opportunities in the financial statements.
Job Description
* Provide high-quality financial information and associated reports within the deadline with the necessary analyses for senior management to understand risks, opportunities, and make decisions.
* Manage the team to meet all required legal requirements, including financial statements and government regulations.
* Establish a level of governance in the accounting department to ensure the sustainability of the internal control environment, including SOX requirements.
* Review and ensure compliance of key deliverables through accounting practices (USGAAP, IFRS), including reports, controls, losses, audits, compliance, etc.
* Experience operating in an international/global environment with connections to leaders and peers worldwide.
* Create value through the engagement, development, and empowerment of accounting employees based on the company's strategy, including check-ins and feedback.
* Work closely with a high level of cooperation and involvement with the Brazil shared services center, seeking standardization and increased productivity.
* Set annual and long-term goals for the financial accounting community.
* Lead accounting management to ensure the development of its leadership and actively influence the accounting community in its SSI journey.
* Ensures the implementation of the Entities policies in accordance with Regional and Group standards.
* Provides leadership and technical expertise to the Local finance team.
* Analyzes and reports external economic trends, including effects of government legislation, and appraises financial effect on the company.
* Prepares long-term profit/loss forecasts to facilitate management review of capital appropriations, expansion strategies, product line changes, etc.
* Reports financial situation to Country/Region ExCom and eventually to the Group CFO.
* Reports financial situation to auditors and rating agencies according to Group recommendation.
* Ensures the control of budget and standards.
* Supervises consolidation, control, accounting, risk, treasury, and tax activities and practices.
* Ensures eventual relationships to third parties such as banks and investors.
* Leads special projects such as the economic evaluation of divestitures or acquisitions, financial effectiveness of internal operations, and product/profit performance.
You are meant for this job if:
* Master’s Degree in Finance or equivalent.
* Experience in Finance, and preferably International experience.
* Experience in long term contracts.
* Fluent in English.
