Join the Life House Team!Cay Galgon Life House is looking for a passionate Development Coordinator to support our efforts to uplift pregnant women and new mothers in the Lehigh Valley. In this role, you’ll work alongside the Executive Director to coordinate fundraising activities, engage donors, plan events, and support grant development—ensuring critical resources continue to reach those who need them most.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelopment & Fundraising Coordination: Assist in implementing development and fundraising strategies, including individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and grant funding.Donor Engagement & Stewardship: Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring consistent communication, recognition, and engagement opportunities.Event Planning: Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, including donor cultivation events, annual appeals, and special campaigns.Grant Research, Writing & Management: Identify grant opportunities, draft and submit applications, proposals and other grant documents, communicate with grantor personnel, and track application deadlines and decisions to secure funding from foundations and other grantors.Database & Record Management: Maintain accurate donor records, track contributions, and generate reports to support development and fundraising efforts.Marketing & Communications: Collaborate with Public Relations, social media, and website teams to ensure consistent messaging aligned with development and fundraising initiatives.Volunteer Coordination: Assist in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for fundraising events and donor outreach efforts.Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director in development, fundraising and donor relations activities.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Passion for the organization’s mission, vision, and values, including advancing these foundational elements through development and fundraising efforts.Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, social work, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, marketing, or public relations.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with the Executive Director, staff, Board of Directors, donors, and stakeholders.Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving, organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills.Experience in donor relations, nonprofit development, fundraising campaigns, event planning, and sponsorship acquisition.Knowledge of nonprofit financial management, budgeting, and funding sources.Proficiency in donor databases, data tracking, and CRM systems (Donor Perfect experience preferred).Skilled in organizing resources, establishing priorities, and managing multiple projects independently.Ability to collect, analyze, and report data to support development and fundraising efforts.Familiarity with grant writing and funding mechanisms preferred.Proficiency in Office 365 and other relevant software.Commitment to upholding organizational policies, including integrity, safety, and professional conduct.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
