Alcoa is seeking a Coordinator of Materials and Infrastructure (Preferred for Women) to join our team at the Juruti – /PA unit. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the management of materials and infrastructure, including spare parts in the Beneficiation, Railway, and Port areas. Your main objective is to lead activities related to Materials Management and act as a direct contact for clients. Additionally, you will promote programs and initiatives related to Materials Management and REX in the locality. This role is crucial for facilitating communication between the Local Team, Maintenance, Storage, and Procurement, ensuring the identification and resolution of Materials Management issues efficiently, minimizing disruptions in maintenance and operations. The ability to influence and solve complex problems is essential for the success of this role.
Main responsibilities include:
* Manage inventory materials focusing on waste reduction, stock control, parameter review, and inventory control;
* Address emergency demands focusing on the safety of people, business continuity, and product quality;
* Be a leader in the process of reliability excellence and materials management; conduct regular audits of materials management and REX in the locality focusing on operational excellence;
* Work with the regional leader of materials management/assets management focusing on the implementation of the company’s global management programs;
* Collaborate with the procurement team to solve supply issues, evaluate supplier quality and performance, contractual disputes, and competition according to policy, applying bonuses and penalties as per contract;
* Ensure the health of spare parts in stock focusing on waste elimination, obsolescence control, implementation of best practices for packaging and control; consolidate and act on the implementation of the kitting and staging protocol;
* Lead the registration process of all components that are part of the plant's assets in the system (Bill of Materials – BOM of the asset);
What you can offer for the role:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in administration, engineering, or related fields;
* Experience in activities and routines focused on materials and infrastructure management;
* Skills in conducting meetings and training;
* Excellent communication with clients;
* Basic/Intermediate English desired;
* Knowledge in Power BI;
* Intermediate Office Suite;
* Excellent communication with clients; good interpersonal relationships and active listening; focus and attention to task execution; high sense of organization, discipline, and prioritization;
* Willingness to reside in Juruti-PA (remote area);
* Work regime: in-person.
