The Position
As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing investment projects related to equipment installation in many different areas of our facility, with a strategic vision to meet the business needs.
The position is based in Montes Claros/MG and the main responsibilities are:
1. Planning and leading execution of complex projects, focusing on scheduling, resource management, risk management, procurement, quality, EHS, and cost controls to ensure the project will deliver what is expected.
2. Managing indirectly multi-functional team coordination, schedule and budget oversight, management of consultants/contractors, issue resolution, and reporting.
3. Ensuring the project follows the established project governance structure, reporting project progress, and making decisions together with the project Steering Group (StG).
4. Leading different projects simultaneously while keeping deliveries, timeline, and quality under control; flexibility and adaptability are a must.
5. Identifying and managing real and potential risks, taking corrective or preventive actions whenever necessary to avoid changes in the initial planning.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Production, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent experience;
2. Advanced English level, both written and spoken;
3. Fluent in Portuguese, both written and spoken;
4. Solid experience in managing projects (Utilities, logistics, manufacturing equipment, IT, and automation);
5. Solid knowledge in Project Management methodologies such as PMBOK and FEL;
6. Strong communication and leadership skills allowing you to build relationships and trust, as well as obtain commitment from both internal and external stakeholders.
It will be nice if you also present:
1. Proven experience in managing projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
2. Project management certifications such as PMP are considered an advantage.
About the Department
The Project Management Office (PMO) at Site MOC is responsible for implementing all investment projects in the factory. Activities include business case, project prioritization, planning, execution, and realization of project benefits – such as new constructions, building expansions, new equipment installation/qualification, drug product transfer, implementation of new and modern technologies, systems upgrades, and more.
The department is also responsible for overall project portfolio management with direct reporting to headquarters in Denmark, as well as validation services as part of project execution.
