As the **Technical Accounting Manager**, you'll join the Controlling team and be at the heart of financial decisions and business partnering. Alongside a team of smart, dedicated and fun finance professionals you will be a key advisor and partner to our business teams. You will work closely with the European leadership by providing financial visibility and actionable insights. With your analysis, business acumen and diligence you will help the organization to make better and more impactful decisions. It will never get boring as there is no such thing as a typical day.
**What you'll do**:
- Assists in determining and documenting the Company's accounting policies and position on relevant transactions
- Review of non-recurring journal entries to determine appropriate classification
- Must have good technical research skills and advanced IFRS knowledge
- Must be able to work collaboratively with the accounting hub teams and business functions
- Provide periodic technical accounting trainings to the members of the Accounting organization
- Coordinate with external audit on technical accounting issues
- Provide support to the accounting close process, including preparation of IFRS financial statements.
- Design relevant IFRS related disclosures and own IFRS group mapping
- Own certain central controlling projects on Group level
- Develop and maintain Group accounting manual
- Review Significant Contracts and Assess accounting implications
- Review filings of competitors and ensure best practice for the company and comply with strict standards for periodic reporting.
**You'll be great for this role if**:
- You have a bachelor's degree (BA) or Master in Accounting
- You are a qualified ACCA or equivalent
- You come with 8+ years of experience, in finance function of a multinational company
- You possess robust knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting and consolidated financial statements
- You are a team player with the ability to build strong relationships, working cross functionally with teams across the company and engaging with and positively influencing key internal stakeholders
- You know how to pay close attention to changes in organization and new products and be able to understand their magnitude over financial reporting
- You are able to understand complex accounting matters and provide clear implementation guidelines
- You work with English on a high professional level, both verbal and written
- You have experience with SAP and MS Office expertise
