Essential Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing accounting procedures including accounts receivable and accounts payable, general ledger review and maintenance.
2. Responsible for period-end closing activities including the accurate preparation of journal entries, intercompany entries, and allocations.
3. Review and maintain balance sheet accruals and reserves on a monthly basis to ensure balances are appropriate.
4. Maintain Balance Sheet integrity through completion of monthly account analysis and reconciliations.
5. Provide support to financial analyst during the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
6. Support various audit activities by providing timely and accurate information to fulfill audit requests.
7. Various ad-hoc reporting and special projects as assigned.
8. Ensure tax and insurance records are current, and file tax reports on time.
9. Processing payroll for 90+ full time and part time employees with the utmost level of accuracy and confidentiality.
10. Reviewing, analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts and banking transactions in conjunction with preparing monthly reports.
11. Perform internal audits to ensure deductions are accurate.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
1. A bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5 years’ experience in the accounting field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
2. Strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
3. Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion and integrity.
4. Strong skills in Excel and practical skills and experience with other office applications.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects with thorough focus on detail.
6. Extensive experience in preparing ledger entries and processing payments.
7. Knowledge of US GAAP.
8. High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
9. Motivated and strong desire to take on new challenges and possess intellectual curiosity.
10. Proficiency in Netsuite and ADP WorkforceNow software knowledge preferred.
