Job Description
Summary: Serves in a technical support role for IT application support tasks. This includes providing support and maintenance in the Enterprise and Business applications upgrade, testing, deployment, integration, and delivery of software applications that support the administrative or operational functions in Fugro as well as the business applications needed to serve our customers effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage and facilitate the resolution of reported applications incidents, questions, defects, and follow up on reported issues with the associated software vendor when applicable.
2. Maintain resolution processes documentation and Knowledge articles.
3. Provide functional expertise and training to the end user on software applications usage.
4. Identify, install, test and maintain software needs for end user computers and vessels applications as directed.
5. Perform technical review, acceptance testing and implementation of software and firmware upgrades.
6. Manage the supported software solutions to ensure data and project access are successful.
7. Manage the day-to-day system health issues and activities including querying data from the various software systems to identify and mitigate issues.
8. Manage, maintain, and monitor all system integrations facilitating data exchange with the ERP system and other related systems.
9. Triage all problems and issues associated to application integrations and data exchange.
10. Manage and facilitate the technical review, installation, acceptance testing, and deployment of software upgrades and patches as directed.
11. Participate in and communicate the Change Management Process associated to the maintenance and security of the software systems.
12. Design customizations and data analytics queries, dashboards, displays and reports for data analytics projects.
Qualifications:

Experience:
1. General knowledge and understanding of IT acumen associated to best practice ITIL standards including User Technical Support and Change Control.
2. Demonstrated skills utilizing technology platforms, database utilities and reporting tools including SQL and T-SQL, experience working on Data warehouse, ETL and integrations, as well as data modeling workflows.
3. General knowledge of Cloud database administration (Azure and AWS).
4. General knowledge of PowerBI, Python and Geoscience data acquisition workflows is a plus.
5. Experience as an Application Support Analyst, or similar position is preferred.
Education/Experience (General):
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, data processing or a related technical field. Alternatively work experience and/or a combination of education and work experience will be accepted.
