Your role
As the Head of People & Culture you will play a crucial role in aligning our initiatives with business goals and fostering a culture of engagement and development. You'll lead a diverse and inclusive team focused on transforming our people and culture practices across various business units, including Group Trucks Technology, Group Trucks Purchasing, Volvo Penta, Volvo Buses, Volvo Construction Equipment and Group Functions.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic guidance on people and culture-related issues.
2. Lead, inspire, and develop your team to drive excellence in people management practices.
3. Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
4. Translate strategies into actionable plans and initiatives.
5. Drive talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning efforts.
6. Champion change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Coach and support management at all levels to enhance individual and organizational effectiveness.
8. Act as an Engagement Ambassador and Change Manager during employee surveys.
9. Foster relationships across the organization to maximize employee involvement in driving change.
10. Promote company values and guide decision-making to drive effective change management.
11. Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
12. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field.
13. Proven experience as a progressive people and culture manager in large, complex organizations.
14. Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
15. Demonstrated ability to develop people, culture, and management practices.
16. Must have HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) work experience, preferably SAP tools (Success Factors) and a cloud-based system.
17. Ability to work effectively and guide business management at all levels and their organizations.
18. Ability to oversee responsibly substantial amounts of confidential/sensitive information often.
19. Proved ability to influence, lead, manage, promote, and support projects as strong business and people and culture acumen, including problem-solving and manage conflicts effectively.
20. Highly adaptative and effective both virtual and cross-cultural environment, and a good command of Office 365 digital tools.
21. Fluency in English required, Spanish proficiency desired.
22. Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-cultural environments.
