Apgar is looking to recruit a Experienced Data Consultant & PMO who wants to join our growing team in Porto Alegre or São Paulo, in Brazil and be part of a group of +200 teammates who are passionate about data.
As an Experienced Data Consultant & PMO at Apgar, you will play a dual role in functional consulting and project governance, ensuring the successful execution of Data Management and Governance initiatives. You will be participating in solution design, implementation, and project oversight, ensuring that timelines, quality standards, and business objectives are met.
You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders, on projects to optimize Data Management, Data Quality, AI and Data Governance while also overseeing agile project execution and governance to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.

Your mission... Project Scoping & Solution Definition - participate on project scope validation of project scope and discussions to align technical and functional teams with business objectives. Project Governance & Agile PMO Responsibilities - monitor project milestones, ensuring delivery is on time and within scope, while Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and blockers, working with stakeholders to resolve issues while ensuring project methodologies (Agile, Scrum) are effectively implemented by facilitating project ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives Backlog & Agile Board Supervision - ensure User Stories and corresponding cards are well-defined with clear acceptance criteria, oversee the Agile board, ensuring tasks progress according to SLAs while coordinating with the team to maintain workflow efficiency, Identifying and managing technical and functional risks and dependencies to prevent delays. Governance - support the Project Lead and project team to ensure client engagement (business and technical teams), maintain formal documentation and traceability of project decisions, aligning with the client's Product Owner. Prepare and deliver executive reports and presentations for Steering Committees, highlighting progress, risks, and necessary adjustments while track project KPIs, such as approval time for User Stories and schedule adherence. Functional Execution – Participate on client workshops to understand requirements, define use cases, and translate business needs into functional specifications. You are... You are a seasoned Project PMO in the data consultancy world with expertise in Data Management, Governance, and Agile Project Execution. You thrive in both strategic and operational roles, ensuring that projects are not only designed well but also delivered efficiently.
You excel in client-facing environments, balancing the functional depth of a consultant with the rigorous structure of a PMO. You can align business needs with technical capabilities, drive agile execution, and facilitate governance in complex data transformation projects.
Key Attributes Strong analytical mindset, capable of bridging business needs with data solutions. Proactive problem solver, identifying risks and ensuring smooth execution. Excellent communicator, comfortable interacting with both executives and technical teams. Hands-on experience in both functional consulting and project management. Fluent in English, with the ability to work on international projects. Availability for occasional travel and willingness to explore new industries and technologies. Your Experience, Skills, and Competencies 5+ years of experience in Data Solutions implementation projects. Strong expertise Project management expertise, particularly in Agile/Scrum environments. Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies for backlog and board management.Experience in leading workshops, requirements gathering, and end-user training. Strong communication skills – ability to write reports, present to stakeholders, and facilitate discussions" Engineering degree is preferred, with certifications in Agile, Scrum being a plus.
