Job descriptionOperational Responsibility, HSE Culture, and Communication
Assists in implementing, developing, monitoring, and reviewing operational processes such as: work permits, confined space entry, LOTO, fall protection, diving operations, shutdown operations, lifting and handling operations, SIMOPS, change management, among others.
Assists CSR/RSES in organizing and implementing weekly HSE meetings, on-site HSE committees, HSE visits, and HSE tours.
Participates in/hosts pre-work meetings, toolbox talks, work progress meetings, debriefings on-site, ensuring workers are present, informed, and aware of the tasks.
Develops, implements, and conducts HSE inductions on behalf of the Company.
Supports HSE campaigns, awareness initiatives, behavioral actions, and recognition programs on-site on behalf of the Company.
Facilitates and guides HSE coaching and mentoring programs for all on-site personnel.
Maintains comprehensive records of all meetings, inductions, HSE campaigns, etc., on-site.
Identifies human factor gaps that prevent incident-free operations, proposing preventive and corrective action plans.
Drafts procedures, plans, programs, and HSE instructions for on-site operations and activities as requested.
Provides a comprehensive transition report at the end of each rotation.
Risk Management
Identifies and addresses HSE risks, advising on preventive and corrective measures; develops action plans as requested.
Ensures that all operations and activities are subjected to a risk analysis.
Participates in, conducts, and/or reviews Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and risk assessments with the involved entities.
Environmental Management
Supports the implementation of environmental plans and programs on-site on behalf of the Company.
Ensures that the Contractor has, monitors, reviews, and updates an environmental management plan, waste management plan, chemical management plan, among others.
Interacts with the Contractor’s HSE personnel to conduct environmental compliance monitoring on-site; initiates corrective actions for observed non-compliance.
Supports regulatory environmental projects on-site, ensuring all requirements are met, such as:
Environmental Monitoring Project (PMA).
Pollution Control Project (PMA).
Supports trained personnel in implementing required actions from the PMAVE - Platform and Vessel Impact Monitoring Project on Avifauna.
Manages the environmental record tracking system on-site.
Health Preservation and Industrial Hygiene
Verifies if the Contractor complies with all regulatory health preservation requirements on-site (PPRA, etc.).
Supports the implementation of industrial hygiene plans and programs on-site.
Verifies the proper selection and acquisition of PPE and safety equipment for the Company on-site.
Training and Competence
Educates, motivates, and trains Company and Contractor personnel on HSE matters.
Controls the compliance of the Contractor’s HSE training matrix.
Applies the PEAT (Worker Environmental Education Project) to all personnel aboard the FPSO.
Emergency Management
Supports the application of the emergency response system according to the interface document requirements.
Participates in exercises organized on-site by the Company and/or Contractor.
Monitors the action plan for improvements after exercises.
Controls the availability and adequacy of emergency response equipment (firefighting, SOPEP, etc.) and first aid equipment.
Audits, Inspections, and Reviews
Conducts daily inspections of work areas, working conditions, and work permits.
Inspects living areas at regular intervals.
Participates in scheduled and unscheduled audits with Company management, Contractor, and other parties, as applicable.
Event Management, Performance Improvement, and Data Management
Reports the Contractor’s HSE performance: documents, tracks anomalies, near-misses, incidents, and other HSE events on-site as per the Company’s requirements.
Proposes actions for continuous HSE improvement on-site.
Participates in investigations of near-misses or incidents on-site.
Social Management
Within the scope of the Social Communication Project (PCS), monitors, radios, and records 100% of unauthorized vessels entering the 500m exclusion zone of the FPSO.
Job requirementsTechnical course in HSE/TST;
Advanced English;
Experience in the oil and gas industry and in an offshore context (FPSO, rig, platform, or similar) in an HSE position;
Willingness to apply HSE standards and procedures respectfully and obtain the commitment of the Contractor’s personnel;
Ability to communicate and interact with management, supervisors, and field personnel to coordinate safe work;
Ability to solve problems and issues independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
Excellent knowledge of Brazilian HSE regulations (NR, CONAMA, etc.);
Great understanding of the requirements, restrictions, and obligations set by the Operating License;
Computer skills, including MS programs and systems and applications (Sinergy, Enablon, HRAF, etc.).
