We are searching for the best talent for a **Cross - Country / Latin America (LATAM) Trade Compliance Senior Manager** to be Located in Brazil (São Paulo), México (Ciudad de México) or Colombia (Bogotá).
**Purpose**:
This leader will be an excellent communicator, capable of providing proactive communications (oral and written) to J&J collaborators on potential and actual changes to regulations and on any identified risk mitigation.
They will work with regional business managers, JnJ functional leads, J&J legal entities and legal counsel to enable processes, procedures, and implement remediation plans.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Responsible to review internal controls and processes to guarantee they comply with applicable Customs Laws & Regulations, ensuring internal Policies & Procedures are maintained in accordance with the Global Trade Compliance Standards.
- Responsible to identify trade compliance gaps and recommend operational process improvements, manage, and escalate trade compliance issues, and oversee corrective action plans for the LATAM region.
- Support in identify, prevent, monitor, decide or provide guidance to situations that may have impact on trade compliance, with laws, regulations, Global Standards of Trade Compliance, J&J Policy on Business Conduct and J&J Policies.
- Provide insight to JnJ business(s) on emerging and existing Latin American import and export trade regulations and development project plans necessary to ensure areas where an impact is identified and remediated to.
- Facilitate rollout of global export controls and sanctions program with focus on Latin American and provide feedback on exception management to ensure global processes are accurate.
- Drive implementation, continuous improvement, and governance for the deployment of the global program within Latin America.
This would include the global standards and operating procedures that meet evolving regulations and requirements and fit J&J's global business.
- Support governance and oversight of external consultants/contractors supporting Latin American compliance processes such as post entry review screening, metrics, and data management, as needed.
- Use project management skills to ensure timely implementation of trade policies and standards, collaborating with GTC teams globally to support implementation of remediation and efficiency improvement solutions.
- Develop standard methodologies, groundbreaking training curriculum and delivery approaches that enable effecting training approaches to serve a virtual highly distributed Latin American trainee network.
- Use experience with valuation practices including but not limited to circumstances of sale, transfer price adjustments etc.
to ensure that processes are in implemented to lead expectations of Customs principles
- Represent in relevant trade organizations and provide supporting role in analyzing and commenting on any pending regulations, legislations, or trade agreements.
