**The Role**:
We are seeking a **Construction Director** to be based in Barcarena.
We are entrepreneurial, fast
- moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world.
We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.
As the **Construction Director**, you will be working on the project site to manage the construction of a 600MW Combined Cycle plant in Barcarena in the state of Para.
The selected individual will provide overall site leadership and management to the construction management and commissioning functions and meet the NFE's scope, safety, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
Previous experience with proven track record in Combine Cycle Power Plants projects in Brazil and under the ANEEL and Brazilian codes and standards is highly desired
**What you will do**:
- Develop project specific construction management work plans.
Ensure work plans are coordinated with NFE and Contractor(s)
- Lead and manage the site construction management staff
- Monitor overall construction and progress, cost, quality, scope and safety
- Manage and mitigate construction work risk
- Report variances and take action to address negative variances
- Report construction progress and cost to NFE
- Lead construction project performance review meetings
- Manage interfaces between the OE and the construction contractor
**What you bring**:
- 15+ years' experience with power plant site construction management and start-up testing, with a strong emphasis on J Class gas turbines and combined cycle projects.
- 10+ years' experience in a management, or leadership role.
- Corporate and project stakeholder team building knowledge and experience.
- Construction labor knowledge and labor planning experience.
- Experience in establishing and effectively using project controls tools to manage a construction project.
- Understanding of a process approach to accomplishing construction management and start-up testing work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English
- Field and corporate experience and willingness to work at a Project site location in Barcarena-PA
