**LATAM Personal Care Director**
**The Challenge**
As LATAM Personal Care Director you will be responsible for manage regional sales; GPx and opex budget as well as customer projects, relations and service by identifying opportunities, building strategic plans, orchestrating assigned multifunctional resources and executive sponsorship.
Manage regional team, closely collaborating with the Global PC Headquarter to ensure seamless customer support and inform of opportunities and actions.
Achieve substantial sales and profitability growth both with existing and new product portfolio.
Closely monitor competition within the region to allow the organization to act promptly on shifts.
Trains and retains talent in the region to ensure continuity and succession.
**The Position**
The Key responsibilities in this position will be:
- Leads the regional implementation of the global Personal Care Strategy as well as customer segmentation and contribute to the global budget and GPx target.
- Drives the analysis, development and implementation of the customer strategy which can serve as a roadmap to the organization.
- Introduces and launches products from central marketing in the regional markets to support innovation and differentiation strategy.
- Manages effectively the regional marketing and sales organization as well as distributors to obtain the desired results within the budgeted costs.
- Follows KPIs versus targets (Sales, Gross Profit, win rate) and takes corrective actions if necessary.
- Attracts new business and defends existing business, identifying and creating opportunities, articulating the company's value proposition and promoting new products, concepts or technologies.
- Develops understanding of trends and requirements in the different target segments and feeds back to HQ to trigger development.
- Delivers convincing product presentations together with R&D/I and Marketing.
- Ensures adequate marketing and technical support for new and existing portfolio for various customer segments.
- Reports efficiently, consistently and concisely results, developments, issues and outlook.
- Integrates acquired businesses/products on a regional level and extracts synergies.
- Understands the customer inside-out.
- Builds prime multifunctional relationships with key decision makers across all levels of seniority and coaches team members to do the same with their counterparts.
- Develops opportunity mapping at each customer and take actions to increase profitability and share.
- Supports Global Key Account Managers to achieve global sales with top customers.
- Conducts complex sales negotiations across many countries, including core listing negotiations.
- Ensures buy in from relevant stakeholders and gets support from the Global Commercial Director Personal Care on a needs basis and top level negotiations
- Propose and review the sales and operational expenditure Budget for the Personal Care Business in the region.
- Personnel responsibility within regional PC: hiring/replacement decisions, based on business needs and within corporate guidelines and strategic objectives.
- Take business decisions concerning focus of efforts along product portfolio, product positioning and customer segmentation for the regional markets, along the defined global strategies.
- Decides on market share targets, market development projects, portfolio within framework of strategy.
**The Ideal**
- Bachelor's degree completed;
- Post-graduation and/or master's degree is desirable;
- Good understanding of Personal Care Industry;
- Able to work/act in a multi-cultural environment;
- Fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish;
- Strong experience leading a commercial driven team;
