**What you will do**:
Our mission, is to identify and create and deliver new digital vehicle-related services, from an end-to-end perspective (meaning cross-functionally), by capitalizing on digitalization and the knowhow of the Volvo Group.
A directional target, is that we by 2027, have established a "Service machinery" for vehicle-related services, leading 1/3 of all Service initiatives, and are recognized as the "applied service innovation center" within Group Trucks.
We are a fairly new organization, and we are looking to grow in the area of Android/service development.
In this role, you will be a member of the BASC team (Business development, Architecture, Services and Connectivity), with the mission to:
- Create quick prototypes to demo ideas, or to validate options with/for our customers;
- Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance app/service functionality;
- To share knowledge in the team, e.g.
by performing code reviews to maintain code quality and sharing of best practices and know-how to continuously improve the architecture and development.
You will be part of Vehicle Technology, and more specifically, the Services organization, and be part of the Services Development Team and report to the Group Manager of BASC.

In this role, you will bring:
**Relevant Experience**:
- A solid technical foundation in Software development in general, and Android in particular, is a good start, and a passion for collaboration will be the next building block.
- Android and/or technology trends, applied innovation using a combination of open platforms (SDKs/SOA), service design, continuous improvement culture or app architecture and performance.
- Applicants shall have Engineering degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or similar.
- Embedded systems - Good understanding for basic HW components (ECU's, sensors, actuators and wiring harnesses and SW design (basic SW architecture, communication protocols, diagnostics).
- Fluent proficiency level of English, both written and spoken;
- Experience with Kotlin and React-native (optional)
**Meritorious to have**:
- International and multi-cultural experience with a global organization;
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, power BI and requirement tools;
