The Product Innovation Senior Manager – Urban Mobility is a versatile role, able to lead a variety of product development efforts and partnerships to launch impactful product concepts and platforms that can scale. This role will work collaboratively with lean teams composed of entrepreneurs, product managers and full-stack developers in an agile environment.
The Visa Innovation is a fast-paced team that requires futurist thinkers that can inspire, coach others as well as be hands-on doers.
Responsibilities
1. Work as a technical expert for the Urban Mobility team in Brazil to implement and execute urban mobility projects defined in key strategic cities agreed with the Urban Mobility Regional and Market team and aligned with the LAC Urban Mobility Strategy.
2. Become a subject matter expert on our technical and business products, processes, and operations, and remain up to date on industry news.
3. Accelerate implementation of Visa’s unified, interoperable, global contactless acceptance framework, Mass Transit Transaction (MTT).
4. Participate in the VSAM Solution Regional Expansion Plan, evaluating opportunities to implement, and executing the solution in key projects. Leverage the accumulated knowledge and pioneer know-how from the LabGarage team in Brazil.
5. Understand the marketplace, standards, infrastructure, authorities, regulators, and competitive environment to influence changes that promote interoperability, designing and organizing the collaborative execution across the ecosystem.
6. Planning implementation and project management the execution, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks and support the different parties. Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
7. Monitor and evaluate key data to measure Visa’s participation in the implementation. Accurately documenting the project development and execution as well as the scope, budget, and calendar.
8. Demonstrate sharp focus on the development and improvement of the end customer experience.
9. Engage and collaborate with Visa internal stakeholders, such as Products, MSA, Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications, as well as external clients (tech partners, etc.) in the implementation and development of projects and Visa’s positioning in the segment.
10. Alignment with the Urban Mobility Regional and Market team to assure a holistic approach to the regional opportunities and projects.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of relevant working experience in the transport and payments industry, particularly in a planning and project implementation.
• Broad knowledge and experience of the complexities of the urban mobility and payment ecosystems mostly in LAC and Brazil.
• Broad knowledge and understanding of relevant technologies.
• Ability to assess situations and solve problems through sound reasoning and structured thinking.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the commercial drivers for both Visa and our clients.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills for working cross-functionally and cross-divisionally.
• Previous experience of successful product innovation, development and rollout would be desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to navigate and influence at all levels internally and externally with clients, government entities, providers and key stakeholders.
• Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in driving third party technology partnerships and contract management.
• Ability to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate activities and collaborate effectively within a program team across other organizations.
• Ability to influence without direct authority to achieve necessary goals.
• Be able to multitask and manage a varying workload with minimal supervision.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English, Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in the payment industry is a plus.
