**Job Description**:
Providing health and safety guidance to the project team and making sure that the project is delivered in accordance with Brazilian health and safety regulations, as well as meeting all client requirements in this field. The health and safety technician will need to produce, review and approve HSE plans in accordance with both legal and client requirements and be able to review and assure legal compliance topics, such as: risk assessments, legal audit & claims from local authorities regarding site safety labour inspections, safety committees work streams, "contingencies determination" and work job position adaptations, incident investigations in the project.
- Plan and develop strategic work systems around HS&E guidelines, e.g.: recommending suitable processes aligned with client’s and regulatory standards for construction projects.
- Support existing site safety team for keeping reporting regimes are in place for Health and Safety statistics
- Support business change, via effective change management processes in a fast-paced environment, when required
- Implement and review the Client's global safety policies, ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met
- Required to be on site full-time (Guarulhos-SP)
**Qualifications**:
- Construction field experience (industrial sites and/or SPK system experience preferred);
- Fluent English desired
- A flexible individual who is able to understand the issues presented and adapt general methods and processes to meet the Client’s needs.
- Flexible approach to work, while always managing your own priorities and workload, being a self-starter and team leader.
- Able to effectively lead and manage a H&S team
- Excellent communication and influencing skills: you're also result-oriented and tenacious
- Comfortable communicating at all levels of seniority within a large organization
- Possess an in-depth understanding Brazilian Health and Safety legislation
- Quickly build credibility, using your influencing skills and strategies to build buy-in for change
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Essential.
- Capacity to deliver trainings
- Ability to effectively plan and organize own workload to meet deadlines - Essential.
- Good IT skills to generate reports and documents
- Excellent Client empathy
- Solutions driven
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment is a plus
