House of Shipping's commitment to their customers begins with developing an understanding of their business fundamentals.Currently House of Shipping is recruiting for a Equipment Control Executive on Behalf of its client in Sao Paulo - Brazil.Job purposeThe Executive – Equipment Controlle r is responsible for overseeing container equipment inventory, ensuring efficient coordination with depots and state agents, and maintaining up-to-date tracking of container movements.
This role involves analyzing stock levels, planning asset allocation, resolving operational challenges, and maximizing equipment utilization to support effective logistics operations.
Additionally, the position requires close coordination with agencies in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.Main tasks and responsibilitiesEquipment Inventory Management & PlanningMaintain and update daily equipment inventory statistics.Monitor stock levels and submit equipment allocation plans based on operational demand.Analyse historical data and trends to optimise equipment availability and movement.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient equipment flow.Depot & Vendor CoordinationAct as a liaison between depots and state agents to manage equipment movement effectively.Communicate with depot teams to track inbound and outbound container flows.Ensure smooth operations by resolving depot-related issues and managing vendor performance.Container Tracking & DocumentationUpdate and maintain container movement logs with accuracy.Ensure data integrity in the tracking system and identify discrepancies.Generate reports on equipment utilisation, stock availability, and movement history.Issue Resolution & Process ImprovementIdentify and address equipment-related issues in a timely manner.Work with operations and commercial teams to resolve inefficiencies in equipment allocation.Suggest process improvements to enhance tracking accuracy and reduce bottlenecks.Work Experience & Education Backgroundprofessional certifications in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Operations, or Logistics (preferred)Industry: Shipping, Logistics, Freight ForwardingRole: Equipment Management, Fleet Control, Logistics Coordination4 to 6 years exp in a Equipment Control Role
