Responsibilities
We are looking for an exceptional Test Engineer to work with our cross-functional team and join our world-class community of talented experts for a Digital bank in Spain. In this role, you will be taking the essential role of advising our client on the quality of the software being tested. You will be expected to constantly question all parts of the process to ensure the software under development is what the customer requested and inform the team about it. We seek a Test Engineer with strong knowledge of different retail banking knowledge and business processes.
What will be your main responsibilities?
1. Defines test objectives, creates test plans and develops functional test cases/procedures.
2. Performs testing against detailed specifications.
3. Provides test results to management and customers that are clear and concise.
4. Analyzes test results and coordinates with development teams for bug fixes.
5. Responsible for recognizing and creating awareness of process or quality problems.
6. Supports test automation activities as and when required (good to have).
Requirements
We are looking for a proactive, adaptable, and eager-to-learn candidate to take our Cognizant’s company brand to the next level:
1. Manual testing experience: design, execution and documentation of test cases in Jira.
2. Accessibility testing experience:
1. Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion.
2. Knowledge of regulations related to digital accessibility (e.g., Section 508, ADA).
3. Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
4. Knowledge of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
5. Experience using accessibility evaluation tools and frameworks (e.g., WAVE, Developer Tools, Accessibility Inspector).
6. Experience using assistive technologies (e.g., VoiceOver, JAWS, Dragon Naturally Speaking, ZoomText).
3. Knowledge in working with Banking clients in the area of Core Banking, Retail Banking, Payment, Loans, Wealth, Omni channels, and others.
4. Integration into teams under agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
5. Minimum 3 years of experience.
6. Testing tools: Postman, Jira, Confluence, Accessibility.
7. Language: Spanish and English (B2).
8. Good to have Knowledge of automatic testing (desirable): use of frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman (for APIs) or similar.
9. Ready to work in Spain work timings.
