OBJECTIVE AND MAIN TASK OF THE FUNCTIONThis position provides technical support to customers within Brazil and supports the Business Director LATAM to drive sales to achieve and exceed budget.Obligation to complete all mandatory trainings organized by STAAR Surgical.TASKSConducts on-site training & product presentation for optometrists, opticians, MDs, and local application specialists.Support or conduct field marketing and promotional actions.Organize User Meetings and other Meetings at Congresses.Support and follow up on Practice Management programs at clients in coordination with our distributor.Re-train distributors to improve post-certification follow-up (outcomes and satisfaction) and usage of new approved products/accessories.Train/speak at educational days at defined clinics.Disseminates key marketing and clinical messages (news, highlights from congresses, latest articles, new products, and developments) and educates on the usage of this material to improve adoption of ICL and drive volume.Participates in the identification of potential sites and customers.Conducts and performs site visits as required - site certification, initiation, push & pull, including writing of site visit reports to supervisor.Accompany the introduction of new products and innovations.Independently monitors the progress of assigned sites by maintaining close contact with KOL, optometrists, and site personnel.Works closely with the Area Manager in the coordination of business activities to meet the yearly objectives within the territory.REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLSEDUCATION & TRAININGDegree in Biology/Biomedical Engineering or similar degree with solid knowledge in Ophthalmology.Additional commercial education is a plus.EXPERIENCE2 or more years of experience in commercial/sales roles in surgical devices.Clinical practice in Ophthalmology is a plus.SKILLSExcellent skills (both written and verbal) in Portuguese and English.Proficiency in Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent communication/presentation skills to adapt to different individuals at all levels, result-driven.
