Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience working with user privacy and safety or policy domain relating to user privacy and data protection.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Portuguese fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience and/or knowledge in data analysis, complex problem solving, scaled operations, and efficient execution.
- Knowledge of content moderation, DevOps, policy enforcement, customer support and/or policy creation.
- Ability to solve large unstructured business problems, working closely with highly and cross-regional and cross-functional teams, including Sales/Business Development, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Press.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and international teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex policy concepts for technical products.
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish fluently.
**About the job**:
The Trust and Safety (T&S) team, within Google Play, protects the Google Play ecosystem by fighting spam, fraud, and abuse and protecting user privacy. We ensure policy compliance for Google’s expanding base of developers, advertisers, publishers, and users. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas, such as app content abuse and developer abuse. The Regional Operations team, within the Trust and Safety Google Play, aims to build trust and minimize friction with trusted developers, while also mitigating ecosystem risks. This role involves occasional off-hours coverage rotations and international travels.
Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. **Responsibilities**:
- Serve as a senior point-of-contact in the region to solicit executive stakeholder feedback for Google Play policies and operations. Provide online/offline policy education for internal/external executives.
- Manage incidents, and drive operational improvement to mitigate the future risks, working with Business Development, Policy, Ops, Engineering, and Product leadership in Google Play. Lead the resolutions of various policy related issues for Trust and Safety, Google Play, and Android Operations.
- Lead Trust and Safety and Google Play-wide policy launches and trust and safety initiatives in the region to ensure a safe app experience.
- Strategize and build next-generation of systems and operational workflows to meet the demands of Google Play developers and users.
- Provide online/offline policy education for internal and external executives.
