- We are looking for a Junior Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team on a 6-month fixed term contract!
Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintenance of Employee Master File Records
- Owning processing of end to end outsourced payroll for APAC (Australia, Singapore, HongKong, Malaysia, Japan) by following policies and procedures and in line with the legislative, departmental and auditing requirements
- Owning "Employment of record" payment processing for APAC (Japan) by following policies and procedures
- Assisting with the monthly balancing and reconciliation of the payroll control accounts, including accurate and timely payment of all payroll liabilities, in line with relevant legislation
- Preparing and processing of Employment Termination Payments
- Working with the Payroll Manager in reviewing payroll submissions including company specific payroll returns, tax returns, online filings with tax authorities, social security payments and worker's compensation etc, ensuring all requirements are met within required timeframes
- Administrative Duties include monitoring the payroll inbox/helpdesk/support slack channels and responding to queries, mail management
- Working with People Ops to maintain the integrity of employee data in Bamboo
- Identifying and resolving day to day payroll issues, escalating any significant risks and issues to the Payroll Manager in a timely manner
- Airwallex's employee card administration
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
What you will bring:
- Minimum of 2-3 years Australia Payroll Experience is essential
- APAC payroll experience (Advantageous, not compulsory)
- Experience in handling payroll for upto 500 employees
- Experience with a cloud-based payroll system (we currently use ADP and transitioning to a new payroll system)
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Word, PowerPoint
- Meticulous Attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate at the level appropriate to the receiver
