We are recruiting for our client an experienced and strategic **Head of Product** to lead the **PayLab** product, a tailored **Payment Service Provider (PSP) gateway for the gaming industry**.
As the Head of Product for PayLab, you will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy, ensuring that PayLab remains the preferred payment gateway solution for gaming operators.
You will have full **P&L ownership**, managing the product lifecycle, from concept through to delivery and growth, while ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term success.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Product Strategy & Vision**:
- Develop and own the **long-term product vision** for **PayLab**, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market opportunities within the **online gaming industry**.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify **new features**, product enhancements, and potential growth areas for PayLab.
- Define and communicate the **product roadmap**, working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.
- **P&L Ownership**:
- Full **P&L responsibility** for PayLab, ensuring the product's profitability and driving revenue growth.
- Set and manage **financial targets**, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
- Monitor **KPIs** to measure product success, such as **transaction volume**, **customer acquisition and retention**, and overall **profitability**.
- **Customer-Centric Product Development**:
- Engage closely with **gaming operators** and customers to understand their specific payment needs, ensuring that PayLab addresses their challenges effectively and enhances their operational efficiency.
- Develop a customer feedback loop to incorporate input into the product development process and deliver features that maximize value for users.
- Work with the **Customer Success** and **Customer Support** teams to ensure that customer satisfaction remains a priority and that any product-related issues are quickly resolved.
- **Collaboration with Technical Teams**:
- Partner with the **CTO** and **Tech Development Teams** to define the product's technical requirements and ensure timely, high-quality product releases.
- Prioritize and manage the **development backlog** based on business needs, market demands, and customer feedback.
- **Go-to-Market Execution**:
- Collaborate with the **Head of Marketing** and **Sales Lead** to define the **go-to-market strategy** for PayLab, ensuring successful product launches and driving customer acquisition.
- Develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with the **gaming industry** and highlights PayLab's unique advantages as a payment solution.
- Support sales efforts by providing product knowledge and identifying opportunities to promote PayLab as the PSP gateway of choice for gaming companies.
- **Compliance & Security**:
- Ensure that PayLab meets all **compliance** requirements, including **regulatory** and **security standards** in the online gaming and payments industries (e.g., KYC, anti-money laundering, and data security).
- Work with internal teams to ensure **fraud detection** and **security measures** are robust and compliant with industry standards, while maintaining a seamless experience for legitimate users.
- **Market & Competitive Analysis**:
- Stay updated on **market trends**, **regulatory changes**, and **competitive products** in both the **gaming** and **payments** spaces to anticipate challenges and identify new opportunities.
- Lead competitive analysis to ensure PayLab remains differentiated and relevant to gaming operators.
- **Team Leadership & Collaboration**:
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of product managers, developers, and designers to execute the product vision and achieve business goals.
- Collaborate with the **Customer Experience (CX)** team, including **Customer Success Managers** and **Customer Support**, to ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into product improvements.
- Foster strong working relationships with other departments, including sales, marketing, finance, and legal, to align product goals with overall business objectives.
**Key Qualifications**:
- **Experience**:
- 8+ years of product management experience, with a focus on **payments**, **PSP gateways**, or **fintech products**.
- Experience in or deep knowledge of the **online gambling/gaming industry**, including an understanding of the unique challenges, regulatory requirements, and customer behaviors.
- Proven track record of **P&L ownership** and driving **profitable growth** for a complex product.
- **Product Management Skills**:
- Strong experience developing **product roadmaps**, managing product lifecycles, and leading product launches in fast-paced environments.
