What you’ll do
In this role, you will work with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to analyze, build, test, and support business software, distributed in Software as a Service (SaaS) model.
1. Design, development & delivery of new features as part of agile team
2. Attend and contribute to development processes like planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
3. Conduct unit tests and end-to-end workflow testing of developed software to ensure adherence to quality standards.
4. Execute with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure initiatives with engineering program management.
5. Create a detailed work break down structure for assigned work and estimate work effort required for each task with assistance from a Senior Developer.
6. Develop application software designed to run on virtual machine and containerized infrastructure.
7. Document work estimates, delivery schedules and test results; and communicate them effectively with stakeholders.
8. Engage in design reviews and code reviews to receive feedback on the quality of both design and code.
9. Provide on-call support for application software in non-productive environments.
10. Mentor junior developers and work in scrum teams by setting positive examples.
Requirements
11. Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
12. Professional experience in developing business software in Software as a Service (SaaS) distribution model using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
13. Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
14. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with technical product managers, architects, and technical leads.
15. Knowledge of secure coding practices, compliance, open-source technologies and frameworks.
16. Hands-on experience in developing and troubleshooting Java and J2EE applications.
17. Working knowledge of
18. Web technologies: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
19. Databases: Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
20. SQL: DDL, DML, and DCL.
21. Test frameworks: Junit and Mockito.
22. Secure coding: XSS, CSRF and SQL Injection prevention.
23. CI/CD software: Git, Maven, Jira, Bamboo or Jenkins, Nexus or Artifactory.
24. Server software: Tomcat or similar
25. Operating system: UNIX or LINUX commands.
26. Troubleshooting applications deployed in public cloud environment.
27. Excellent communication in English.

We’re looking for multiple Java Developers to be part of the new SAP Fieldglass Engineering team in Sao Leopoldo, to augment our Engineering teams spread across USA, UK, Israel, India and Australia.
