OverviewThe Data Scientist Level 2 is responsible for understanding business needs and goals and leveraging statistical methods and tools in order to interpret data and extract insights that support decision-making.What you will be doingCollaborate and perform moderate to complex analytical experiments. Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind.Work closely with the engineering team in the development of data deliverables for business consumption.Adhere to, and enhance, data visualization best practices.Collect, analyze, manipulate and aggregate data for analysis from various data sources.Develop and utilize basic to moderate algorithms and models to perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.Report on findings and make recommendations; summarize analyses into clear, concise and effective presentations. Provide training and guidance on how to interpret and apply data.Assist with special projects, as assigned.Perform data integrity audits.Develop, document, and track metrics and/or dashboards.What will make you successfulFluent in EnglishBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 2 Years Experience as a Data Scientist / StatisticianDemonstrated success in performing analyses.Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.Good collaboration and interpersonal skills, able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department.Good Microsoft Excel skills.Good facilitation and project management skills.Good data gathering, interviewing, and analytical/problem solving skills.Good critical thinking and problem solving skills.Good understanding of relational, NoSQL, big data, and graph databases.Advanced understanding of statistics and modeling approaches.Advanced understanding of chart selection and finer details of readability, interpretation, and presentation.Ability to use original thinking to translate goals into the implementation of new ideas and design solutions.Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with oversight.Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and mobilize team members and business partners.Good ability to develop and use engaging, informative, and compelling presentation methodologies.Good knowledge of systems administration.Good knowledge of Linux, Microsoft, and/or Unix Operating systems.Up to 5% travel time required.
