The purpose of the Installation Engineer is to be the focal point of contact with the customer to ensure proper planning and execution of services related to offshore projects. An SDS Installation Engineer is a critical component to ensuring proper planning and execution of post manufacturing services to our customers. An Installation Engineer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: field installation support, conducting Rig Surveys, technical documentation, product design review and validation, technical planning, customer interface, project execution, product and system troubleshooting, performance testing, product maintenance, repair and refurbishment. Office environment requires sitting, operating a computer, walking and some lifting. Hands-on labor in shop and/or field environment, which requires lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing.Job DescriptionProvide full engineering support, through rotation in country (Suriname), to all Subsea Drilling related operations.Closely work with Lead Engineer, Project Manager (PM) and Technical Manager based out of Houston and lead/attend all DWOPs, TRRs and PROG reviews.Follow and be responsible for delivering all engineering deliverables per SDS NAM Engineering workflow guidelines.Occasionally travel to Houston for customer interface/meetings and/or training.Closely work with the PM, Lead Engineer, and planning team to ensure seamless planning and delivery of hardware and tools in country.Understand implication of variations in customer, code or contract compliance.Availability for international travel: Suriname and Houston.You are meant for this job if:Degree in EngineeringCREAAdvanced EnglishExperience in the O&G industryPrevious experience in Subsea Drilling Systems in Field or shop environmentFull understanding of theory specific to area of specialty and/or single/multiple product, including code and criteria requirementsRecognize the impact of variances to scope, cost and scheduleFoundational awareness of relevant industry standards related to SDS (API 5DP, TH Hill DS-1, etc.)Must be able to complete T-HUET/BOSIET trainingFlexibility of travel offsite/offshore, when needed.
